Terms of Service
Last updated October 16, 2026
These Terms are an agreement between Checkin Perks, a business based in Nevada (“CheckIn Perks,” “we,” “us”), and the business that signs up for CheckIn Perks (“you”). By using CheckIn Perks you agree to them. If you use it for a company, you confirm you may agree on its behalf.
1. The service
CheckIn Perks is a loyalty program for salons and similar businesses: a check-in screen for your tablet, a dashboard for managing your program, and text messages to clients who agree to receive them. Until our grand opening on January 1, 2027, the service is in beta and may change as we improve it.
You provide your own tablet and internet connection. We set up your account and your texting number; you are responsible for keeping your logins private and for what anyone does with your account.
2. Plans, fees and texts
- Plans are billed monthly or yearly at the prices shown on checkinperks.com when you sign up. Starter includes 1 tablet and 1,000 texts a month; Growth includes up to 3 tablets and 2,000 texts a month.
- Texts beyond your plan's monthly allowance still send, and are billed on your next bill at 3¢ each on Starter and 2¢ each on Growth. A long text, or one with emoji, can count as 2 or more texts. Your dashboard shows your usage, and we email you a statement each month.
- A one-time setup fee (currently $99) covers setup and registering your texting number with the phone carriers. It is waived on yearly plans and is not refundable once setup has started.
- Special offers, such as the founding offer, apply as described when you reserve or sign up.
- Prices do not include sales tax where it applies. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email; the change applies from your next billing period.
- If a payment fails and is not fixed within 14 days of our notice, we may pause your account until it is.
3. No contract; cancelling
There is no long-term contract. You can cancel anytime by emailing [email protected]. Your service continues until the end of the period you have paid for, and is not refunded for the rest of that period. Extra texts already sent are still billed.
4. Texting rules
Phone carriers and U.S. law (including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act) set strict rules for business texting. You agree that:
- You will only text clients who agreed to receive texts, as recorded by the check-in screen. Importing a client list does not sign anyone up for texts.
- You will not change the sign-up wording to hide what clients are agreeing to, and you will honor STOP requests (the system does this automatically).
- Your messages will be truthful and legal, and will not promote anything carriers prohibit, such as adult content, hate speech, firearms, tobacco, vaping or cannabis, or illegal drugs.
- The business information you give us for carrier registration is accurate.
Carriers may delay or block texts, and delivery is not guaranteed. We may pause texting on your account if we believe these rules are being broken or a carrier asks us to.
5. Your clients' information
The client information in your account belongs to you. We use it only to provide CheckIn Perks to you, as described in our Privacy Policy, and we never sell it. You can export your client list at any time. You are responsible for having the right to any client information you import.
After you cancel, we keep your account for 30 days so you can come back or export your data, then delete it. Copies in our encrypted backups are removed as those backups expire, within 90 days.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use CheckIn Perks to break the law, send spam, harass anyone, try to access other businesses' accounts, interfere with the service, or copy or resell it.
7. Suspension and ending the service
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms, puts others at risk, or does not pay. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem. If we ever stop offering CheckIn Perks, we will give you at least 30 days' notice and a chance to export your data.
8. Availability and disclaimers
We work to keep CheckIn Perks running and backed up, but we do not promise it will always be available or error-free. The service is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.
9. Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, lost business, or indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
10. Your responsibility for your texts
You agree to cover our reasonable costs if a claim is brought against us because of messages you sent, or content or client information you added, in breach of these Terms or the law.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will change the date at the top and, for important changes, email you at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use CheckIn Perks after that means you accept them.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Clark County, Nevada.
